Abo Shamani is situated on the East Coast of South Africa, about 90 minutes from Port Elizabeth, 45 minutes from Grahamstown and 25 minutes from Port Alfred. The nearest airport is in Port Elizabeth with regular flights to and from the major city centers.

From Port Elizabeth airport: Follow the airport exit signs in the direction of (N2) Grahamstown.

Once on the N2, you will pass the Salt works on your right and continue past Colchester.

Continue along the N2 and take the turn off marked: 797 N2 Grahamstown, R72 Port Alfred. Then take the turn off marked: 798 Sunshine coast and then 798 R72 Port Alfred.

At the T-junction turn right onto the R72 in the direction of Port Alfred. Stay on the R72 to Alexandria. Once you get to Alexandria, continue through the town and take note of your kilometers when you see a Caltex on your Left hand side.

Travel for another 14.7 kilometers where you will see a sign marked: River Lodge. Turn left here and you have arrived!
